I cannot afford this amount and asked to settled for a reasonable amount of $160. This is not in compliance with SB1731 and pricing transparency. In addition, I've had many calls with billing. I have called and emailed the facility several times, talked with BCBS several times, filed an appeal with billing department and BCBS. Other facilities would have been under $200. This is a ridiculous amount and I would never have received services if I knew this. In January, I received an itemized statement that says "THIS IS NOT A BILL" in the amount of $682.36. I went to great efforts before the service and throughout my treatment to get a cost estimate by asking at the facility and calling many billing numbers and got no information. I received services at Ascension Seton Physical Therapy, 499 Old Austin Hwy, ******* ** on 11-23-2022 to 12-21-2022. I have spent probably about 30 hours dealing with this situation, and still have NO idea where my money is. I cannot get a consistent answer from anyone at the hospital - answers range anywhere from "we have no record of your account" to "the refund was applied to your outstanding bill" (of which there is **** outstanding) and finally "the refund will reach you in 5 weeks."I have all my receipts, documentation of the calls with insurance and the hospital, and even a few recordings of what I've had to go through to reach their **************** team. This was in November 2022 and it is now March 2023. ![]() After my surgery, in examining my bill, I realized that they billed the wrong insurance and that the money was in error as I had already met my deductible for the year.I followed up with my insurance, and they confirmed this was the case and submitted a request to the hospital for me to be refunded to my original payment method. In September 2022 I had surgery at Ascension Seton Austin and was told at the time of my surgery that I owed $1,10**** which I subsequently paid on my credit card. ![]()
